Datacap, Inc. is a software developer with a mission to help government agencies and business organizations transform paper documents into digital information. The company's Health Claims capture system (HCcs) is the data-entry automation software for HCFA and UB-92 health claims used by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, Capital Blue Cross, Group Health Cooperative and Companion Healthcare, among many others.

Founded in 1988, Datacap is a consistent innovator with OCR, ICR, scanning, imaging, display, workflow, EDI, forms processing, document capture and XML technologies. As a result, Datacap HCcs leverages the latest technology to capture, process and store health claim data and images with complete HIPAA-compliance. Datacap HCcs was designed specifically for managed care organizations, with built-in validations and business rules, and every field on the HCFA and UB-92 pre-configured for capture. The product ships on one CD for use on any Windows platform (95, 98, 2000, NT) and can be installed in a matter of minutes with a few clicks of a mouse.

Datacap's new browser interface, iCapture, extends Datacap capture sytems over the Internet fo remote scanning, claim verification by at-home workers and remote administration by supervisors and administrators who are rarely found at their desks.
