DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

MedAdvantage, Inc.(Med Advantage) has become one of the largest CVOs in the nation. The company began operations in May, 1993 and created one of the largest national databases in the country. Currently this database houses over 800,000 medical providers (MDs & DOs). Med Advantage has continually evaluated all parts of the credentialing process, from people power to systems integration. This evaluation has allowed Med Advantage to expand its credentialing services without some of the pitfalls associatated with start up companies have experienced. Med Advantage believes that each client relationship is a partnership in growth.

Med Advantage has credentialed medical practitioners in all states and received itĘs first certification from NCQA in September, 1996 and has been fully (10 for 10 elements) certified by NCQA since. The standards are verification of the License, Hospital privileges, DEA certificate, Board certification, residency, medical school, Malpractice policy, Claims history, National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), Federation State Medical Bank (FSMB) Sanctions Against Licensure and Medicare/Medicaid sanctions and Application process. Med Advantage was also the first CVO to be certified by URAC. These certifications has enabled customers to have a confidence prior to outsourcing for the services provided, as well as the ability of documenting a solid foundation with policies/procedures and database management.

Med Advantage offers credentialing outsourcing services to HMOs, PPOs, Independent Physician Associations (IPAs) Insurance companies, self-insured employers, Unions, and Health Care Alliances.
