iScribe provides physicians with mobile, handheld solutions that help improve key day-to-day clinical activities, such as prescribing drugs. The iScribe system allows physicians to review alerts on formulary and drug use evaluation issues at the point of care. Physicians can print a complete, legible prescription or electronically transmit a secure, encrypted electronic prescription to the patient’s pharmacy of choice. An iScribe solution under development will also allow physicians to capture charges at point of care.

iScribe is the first company to offer physicians multi-platform, customized electronic prescribing solutions with the iScribe(tm) i3000 on the Windows Pocket PC platform and the iScribe i5000 for Palm-compatible handhelds. Both platforms are convenient and adapt to current workflows. The iScribe system enhances and safeguards the entire prescription writing and fulfilling process, and is easy to use as the current paper processes, so physicians do not have to change the way they currently provide patient care.
