UM Orthotics and Prosthetics Center, founded in 1935, provides state-of-the-art services to adults and children requiring orthotic and prosthetic devices. Our services include custom prostheses, custom and off-the-shelf orthoses, post-mastectomy products, custom foot orthoses, soft goods and compression garments and stockings.

Our practitioners, technicians and facility are accredited by the American Board for Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics, Inc. (ABC). Our Pedorthists are accredited by the Board for the Certification in Pedorthics, Inc. (BCP). We are a division of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Health System.
