DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Team Health is the nation's leading provider of hospital based physician services in the United States.

Team Health currently operates AccessNurse, a national medical call center, throughout the United States. We provide services to hospitals, physicians or physician groups, managed care organizations (MCO's), third party administrators (TPA's), colleges and universities, non-clinical call centers, and business and industry. We currently provide access to services for over 1,000,000 prospective callers. Eligible callers may call toll free from anywhere within the continental United States.

AccessNurse is available 24/7/365 and gives callers valuable healthcare information utilizing nursing triage and referral. Other services include providing physicians after-hours call coverage, class scheduling and physician referral and other proactive managed care organization services. An audio health library with over 300 topics is also available to callers, in both English and Spanish.

Registered nurses staff the call center and a board certified physician is available at all times to provide backup support and review assessment decisions. Nurse protocols used include Dr. Barton Schmitt's Pediatric Guidelines and Dr. Thompson's Adult/Adolescent Guidelines. The complete assessment, along with referral recommendations and/or self-care advice, is thoroughly documented and immediately transmitted to the approved provider. Regular quality assurance activities are an integral part of the system.

Sophisticated reports for tracking, trending and utilization studies are also available on a customized basis.
